Our vision is remarkably simple: We want to offer an extravagant love offering back to our extravagant God and work for the unity of the Church by calling all of us annually into greater and greater experiences of the living Christ.
20 Days a year set aside exclusively for seeking God. That's right—20 days a year with no work or ministry, no email or entertainment. 10 Days in the spring leading up to Pentecost Sunday (10 Days of Prayer) and 10 Days in the fall leading up to the Jewish feast of Yom Kippur (A Time to Mourn). We envision this happening every year in many towns, cities, and nations as the habitual worship pattern of an awakened Church.
A House of Prayer for New England, located in the Pioneer Valley. This is a community of night and day worship that will be a blessing and resource for the entire Church in New England
Promoting United Prayer and Worship initiatives everywhere. Jesus says, "My house will be called a house of prayer". We are here to help the Church grow into that reality.

Expanded Vision:

10 Days of Prayer and A Time to Mourn
  • 10 Days of Prayer—Ascension Day to Pentecost Sunday (May 21-31, 2009)
  • Time of fresh encounter and discovery: Joyful and full of Awe
  • Focus: The present reality of the Holy Spirit
  • A Time to Mourn—Rosh HaShanah to Yom Kippur (Sept. 19-29, 2009)
  • Time of fasting and repentance: Solemn in tone
  • Focus: Longing and preparing for the return of Christ to the earth
  • Consulting with and equipping local churches and church networks to enter into these "prayer vacations" in their own communities
  • Finances: annual cost of $30,000 for both gatherings at Northfield
A House of Prayer for New England
  • A community of families and individuals giving themselves primarily to night and day prayer for all of New England
  • Variable in size, starting small and growing steadily. Within a few years, around 120 staff and intern ministers would be optimal.
  • A commitment to sustainable agriculture and energy, simple living, and local, heathful food as part of life and ministry
  • Training and equipping for interns and for local churches
  • A Kingdom mindset (HOP staff and interns will actively serve local churches, adding trained, active ministers free of charge to those communities)
  • Finances: Property acquisition in the beautiful Pioneer Valley
Promoting United Prayer in the Church
  • Partnership with the New England Alliance, Global Day of Prayer, and groups that foster unity within the Church
  • Founding smaller, local houses of prayer in cooperation with local churches and colleges
  • Serving and loving our local churches
  • Empowering new leaders to see the whispers of God become reality
  • Supporting initiatives for 24/7 prayer, city and region wide worship, concerts of prayer
  • Commitment to good stewardship of finances, including tithing on all donations in order to bless others in the Body of Christ
  • Missional outreach (e.g. "Boiler Room" children’s ministry in Beverly, MA spearheaded by Chris Lloyd)
